Minecraft, first released in 2009, is one of the best-selling video games of all time. In it, players survive, explore, and build in procedurally generated worlds made entirely of blocks. Its open-ended gameplay and distinctive visual style have made it a cultural phenomenon, appealing to all ages. The game's soundtrack, composed by the German musician C418, broke the norms of game music. Not only does it complement the game's simplicity and emphasis on exploration, it has an uncanny ability to elicit an emotional response from listeners. The music became famous in its own right.

"Mice on Venus" is an ambient, minimalist track in which a piano plays a sparse melody accompanied by a synth. This arrangement is an excerpt of the first part of the track.
