The genesis of Driven was a bass guitar riff that I heard on a car commercial during one of the NFL playoff games in January 2023. The pulse of the tune quickly morphed into a driving cut time that kept pushing forward, unrelenting, piling up notes and sounds until, finally out of gas, the music ends with a harrumph.
