Journey of the Monarch Butterfly is a tone painting of the monarch butterfly's annual migration from Canada and the northern United States to Mexico. This beautiful, light, strong creature flies over mountains, forests, and coastlines. It flies through sunny warm breezes, stormy winds and rain, even thunder and lightning! Millions of butterflies gather in the mountains of Michoacán to breed and begin anew. It was premièred at Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina, at the GCNA congress on June 20, 2012, by John Gouwens.
