I was born in 1948 and have loved music all my life, particularly that of the Baroque and Classical eras. As a child, I learned the rudiments of music and later in my youth gained an advanced diploma in Pianoforte from the London College of Music in 1969.
More recently, I have enjoyed listening to and also writing a little music for carillon. I especially love the unique tonal quality of the instrument produced by the characteristic minor third in the tuning.
My piece Wheel of Fortune to some extent reflects my feelings about the constant changes in life which we all experience.
I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to the GCNA and in particular John Gouwens and Wesley Arai for their editing skills which made this publication possible.
