Minecraft, first released in 2009, is one of the best-selling video games of all time. In it, players survive, explore, and build in procedurally generated worlds made entirely of blocks. Its open-ended gameplay and distinctive visual style have made it a cultural phenomenon, appealing to all ages. The game's soundtrack, composed by the German musician C418, broke the norms of game music. Not only does it complement the game's simplicity and emphasis on exploration, it has an uncanny ability to elicit an emotional response from listeners. The music became famous in its own right.

"Wet Hands" is a mellow, minimalist, and short piano track in which a simple melody plays over arpeggiated chords with a heavy presence of ninths. In this arrangement, the melody and harmony swap staves to make it suitable for carillon.
